Ingredients
- 1 large yam or two small yams
- 1/3 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder (non-dairy)
- 10 one-inch squares of chocolate bar (without milk)
- Milk-free granulated chocolate (if you want to roll the brigadeiros)
Steps
Step 1: Peel and cook the yam until soft
Step 2: Beat the yam, water, chocolate powder and sugar in a blender until it turns into a smooth cream
Step 3: Transfer to a pan and add the chocolate bar over medium heat until it thickens and detaches from the bottom of the pan
Step 4: To roll the brigadeiro, take it to the fridge for a few hours to harden and reach the correct consistency
Step 5: Put the chocolate sprinkles on a plate and pass the brigadeiros to stick the sprinkles
