Ingredients

  • Yams – 3 units = 240g approximately
  • Filtered water – 800 ml
  • Optional: Hydrated pitted dates – 3 pcs

Steps

  • Step 1: Peel the yams and cut them into smaller pieces. Transfer them to a pan with water and cook until they are soft

  • Step 2: Drain the water and put the yams in the blender, add the filtered water and the dates (optional), beat well until smooth

  • Step 3: If you are using dates to sweeten, strain the milk using a clean, fine dish towel, or a strainer

  • Step 4: If you're not using dates, you don't need to strain the milk

  • 1: This milk lasts about 5 days if well kept in the fridge
