Ingredients
- 2 cups of cornmeal
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of wheat flour
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1 cup of water
- 1 full teaspoon of baking powder
- Optional: sweet herb to taste
Steps
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180°C a few minutes before baking.
Step 2: In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of cornmeal, 1 cup of wheat flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of oil. Add sweet herb to taste if desired.
Step 3: Gradually add the cup of water and mix until needed. Add up to an additional 1/2 cup of water if necessary.
Step 4: Add the baking powder and mix with a spoon.
Step 5: Pour the mixture into a greased pan with oil.
Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Tips
1: You don't need a mixer; you can mix with a wooden spoon instead.
